The Maine Historical Wargamer's Association is a not-for-profit corporation providing news announcements, web forums, club calendars, and gaming opportunities to wargamers throughout the state of Maine. The purpose of the MHWA is to coordinate and grow the hobby of historical wargaming, promote an enthusiasm for history, and to provide quality events for players from Maine and New England!

The MHWA runs two to three Game Days per year, which are mini-conventions. These Game Days bring players together from all over the State of Maine, as well as a few friends from NH, MA, and VT. Game Days are organized into two sessions, with six or seven games in each session.

In the Spring of 2011, the MHWA will be offering, Huzzah! a full weekend long convention for historical wargamers from throughout New England. Located at the Holiday Inn Portland West, in Portland, Maine, Huzzah! will be approximately 2 hours from Bangor to the North, and 2 hours from Boston to the South.
