Painting Contest

The Maine Historical Wargamers' Association is pleased to announce a painting contest for Huzzah! This is a great way to show your own best work, as well as see that of other wargamers and painters. Even if you do not enter, be sure to visit the display, talk techniques, and appreciate the effort and skill that goes into painting miniatures for collecting and wargaming.

Bob Bailey to Present, "Panzer Tactics and Operations," Friday Night at Huzzah!

As part of the Society of Twentieth Century Wargamers Regional Gathering at Huzzah!, Bob Bailey of Bangor, Maine will provide a "presentation and discussion of how the Germans did (and do) Panzer Tactics and Operations, their background and what it takes to do it."

MHWA Welcomes Scott Mingus to Huzzah! for presentation, book signings, and games!

Scott Mingus will be joining Huzzah! to present, "Flames Beyond Gettysburg: The Gordon Expedition and Pennsylvania's Response." This presentation and discussion will be based on his book by the same name. After the presentation, Scott will be available to sign copies of his books, which will be available for sale. Scott will also be running a 15mm Johnny Reb game at the convention. This will be a great opportunity to meet Scott, discuss American Civil War history, and even roll some dice!

Mark Severin of Scale Creep Miniatures has come through big for Huzzah! We are pleased to announce that Scale Creep will be sponsoring the convention painting competition, providing prizes to participants, and also providing all the bases for the Battle of Sabis game. When approached for 500+ bases for the 3,000+ Wargames Factory miniatures that will be assembled and painted for Huzzah!, Mark did not hesitate but offered all the bases at no fee to the club, and offered basing supplies as well.
